Missy was thrilled. A very attractive man on Match.com had “winked” at her – then quickly sent a flirtatious note.
His name was Gerry. He was divorced, no kids, 57, lived in Boca, but had homes in New York, New Jersey, DC, Chicago, Las Vegas and California.
Obviously, he was in Real Estate.
On their firtst date, Missy realized how “territorial” Gerry was. He was quick to arrange and align his silverware, place his water glass just so, move the floral centerpiece a tad.
Until he had completed these exercises, he was not comfortable.
Missy noticed he hogged the butter, poured a little wine for her and a near full glass for himself.
He had a voracious appetite. Most disconcerting was the way he ordered his meal. He insisted upon the biggest, best, freshest of everything. He paid little attenttion to her.
At dessert, she asked him if he would like to share one of the famous cakes on the menu.
Gerry announced, he didn’t share; sharing was not in his wheelhouse.
Missy thought, “You dont share? I don’t care. Hasta la vista, Gerry Mandering!”
